Since many CBD studies have been done on animals rather than humans, people believe that CBD can't actually cure anything. This is wrong. In actuality, CBD has been tested on humans multiple times to see if CBD can help them.
CBD has been researched most to see its ability to help minimise seizures linked with childhood epilepsy. CBD has proven to be so effective for treating seizures in children that a synthetic variant of CBD marketed as Epidiolex has recently been licenced for the prevention of seizures in Dravet syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, two cases of severe and intractable epilepsy, in individuals two years and older.
There has also been extensive research of CBD's effects on anxiety, a field CBD can potentially help. For starters, a 2015 report concluded that CBD has significant potential as a remedy for several anxiety disorders.
While there is certainly a need for more research, there is already an extremely broad scope of scientific evidence supporting the positive effects of CBD.
Since CBD is a compound found in the cannabis plant, many people assume that CBD will get you high. This is not true. CBD will not give you the "high" that normal marijuana does.
Using cannabis is getting you high thanks to the THC. While THC and CBD are similar, the psychoactive effects do not occur in CBD oil . This is because they usually contain less than 0.2% of THC by law.
This isn't to say CBD isn't psychoactive. A psychoactive substance is anything that affects brain function, causing changes in mood, consciousness and behaviour, among other things. This effect can be good, bad or just neutral. In CBD's case, affecting the central nervous system and helping to heal the body, CBD's psychoactive properties are good.
This is similar to saying that all caffeine products are the same, because obviously tea and coffee are different things.
CBD comes in two types, full spectrum and broad spectrum. While full spectrum contains pure CBD, broad spectrum contains a wide range of other cannabinoids and terpenes, some of which can be even more powerful than CBD. This means that even though two CBD products have the same strength of CBD, they might not have the same effects.
With CBD that comes from different sources and has different compounds in, it can work better for one person than with another.
Since CBD comes from the marijuana plant, and it is used to help treat people, people think that CBD is basically medical marijuana. It is not.
THC and CBD are two of marijuana's active compounds, the most active being THC. It is the THC that induces the psychoactive effects of getting high through medical or recreational use of the substance. Because the cannabis from CBD oil contains very little THC, it is a different substance to medical marijuana.
Saying CBD is medical marijuana is like saying a chocolate bar is chocolate cake. While the cake does contain chocolate, and does give you the wonderful tastes of chocolate, it is not the only part of the cake, so it is a different product.
Many people falsely believe that it doesn't matter how much you use since CBD oil is safe. You should always be mindful of the appropriate dosage when using CBD to treat a particular condition.
Most guidelines look at your weight and how severe the problem is. For instance, anyone between 100 and 150 pounds can take between 10mg or 20mg, based on their level of pain. Keep in mind that a higher dose does not always mean further relief. Starting with a low dose is best, before working your way up gradually until you reach the best strength.
As the awareness of CBD grows, the myths surrounding it start to go away, however more myths also begin to appear, but as long as you know the truth, you can help get rid of the myths.
]]>Psoriasis is a condition of the skin that produces red, flaky, crusty skin patches covered with silvery scales. Usually these patches appear on your elbows, knees, scalp and lower back, but they can appear anywhere on the body. If you suffer from Psoriasis, you may also suffer psoriatic arthritis and joint inflammation, which is marked by pain, swelling, and stiffness of the joints.
CBD has an anti-inflammatory effect and can stimulate keratinocyte formation, cells that renew the epithelium through the production of new cells. With psoriasis, keratinocyte production in the epithelium is sped up, and cannabinoids help normalise the cycle, resulting in reduced scaly skin.
Acne and impurities of the skin do not just happen to teenagers, they can also happen in adulthood. Hormonal imbalances, stress, a poor diet and inadequate skin care are most frequently the causes of adult acne. The formation is caused by an increase in sebum secretion and the bacteria Propionibacterium. Sebum usually plays an essential part in skin defence, but it can also cause unwanted acne when the skin creates too much.
Studies have shown that sebum production in the sebaceous glands is minimised by the CBD molecule, which is strongly desired for acne-prone skin care, since sebum formation is the most common cause of acne.
Studies have also shown that CBD performs intricate anti-inflammatory and antibacterial actions. Red acne is the result of inflammatory changes in the skin which CBD can effectively treat.
As the body gets older, it starts to show with things like wrinkles appearing on the skin. Most people don't like wrinkles as it shows their age, so they look to find products with anti-aging properties so they can keep looking young even in their nineties.
CBD oil has antioxidant properties since it comes from a plant. CBD's antioxidants are one way the topical usage helps to reduce the noticeable signs of ageing. CBD anti-aging creams noticeably reduce problems such as wrinkles and skin dullness by countering free-radical damage and diminishing the appearance of inflammation.
The best CBD products to get to help with your skin problems are CBD creams, like normal creams but with added CBD. These can just be rubbed on the infected area. The skin then absorbs the CBD and the CBD gets to work. Creams are more effective with skincare than other CBD products, since they can be applied directly to the infected area, making them act faster.

]]>Horses are among the most emotionally mature species we have as pets so it is essential to ensure that their emotional health is at its best. If you notice when transporting your horse that they are not reacting well, CBD may help to keep them calm while travelling.
It's also perfect for anxiety coming before a big competion if your horse participates in races or sports. Competing in a confined space may cause your horse a severe case of "arena anxiety," which could impact their performance and wellbeing. Luckily, CBD can treat both of these problems in a safe and natural way.
Horses can often suffer from chronic pain issues, which can have a significant impact on the quality of life. Because of their large size, they are very susceptible to illnesses like arthritis, which can ultimately lead to lameness. This is particularly true for competing horses because their bodies are experiencing even higher stress rates.
While prescription painkillers typically have negative side effects that leave the horse feeling sedated and weak, CBD can cure certain disorders without making the horse feel sedated. It has a soothing effect that reduces the inflammation around the joints of the body, which soothes some of the discomfort and strain from the joints.
CBD frequently targets and prevents the stimulation of pain receptors in your pet's brain. When those receptors are blocked, the neurons stop sending out signals of pain throughout the body of your horse.
Since horses are such healthy and energetic creatures, inflammatory issues are virtually unavoidable. Their large size means that when doing a rigorous exercise, the tendons and muscles experience severe stress, which contributes to inflammation. Inflammation in the long run will cause arthritis, chronic pain and even heart issues.
Although inflammation helps you to recognise that the immune system of your horse functions the way it is supposed to, it can have a harmful effect throughout the life of your horse. Daily use of CBD to treat discomfort of your horse will help prevent it from having more serious health problems. It eases the severe pain and discomfort arising from inflammation. Also, if your horse has had surgery recently, then giving them CBD can help to reduce swelling afterwards. Make sure to speak to the vet before doing this to avoid any possible issues.
Since horses usually live off a grain-only diet, they are particularly prone to digestive problems, like nausea, indigestion and loss of appetite. Due to the demanding nature of their lifestyle, horses competing in sports are even more likely to experience these problems.
Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, the use of CBD oil for horses can help control these problems. A grain-only diet can result in irritation in your horse's digestive system, particularly when it's processed grains. CBD neutralises this irritation, stopping these problems from developing and managing them when they already have.
If your horse suffers from any of these problems, or lives an active and stressful lifestyle, you may consider using CBD oil to help your horse. CBD is generally safe for animals, but it may be best to speak to a vet first to see what they think. Vets should usually know if the horse should take it, how much to take and how to introduce it to their diet.
Do not give CBD to a pregnant horse as it may transfer to the baby. You should only give your horse CBD oil which is THC free, since THC can be toxic to animals.
The best way to give horses CBD is through CBD oil, though, while dogs and cats can use similar CBD oils, horses need a specialised oil, since they are a larger animal. The best thing to do is start with a small dosage, and then gradually increasing it.
CBD can be used to help all kinds of animals, but they often need a specialised product. If administered correctly, your pet's wellbeing should soon improve. Have a nice day!
]]>When you're getting ready in the morning, you can rub some CBD cream onto your body, like you may do with moisturisers and other skin creams. You can also apply it last thing at night before you go to bed so the CBD can work through the night. Also, apply it during the day when needed, similar to other pain-relieving creams.
Most people have a bath or a shower first thing in the morning or last thing at night, and CBD can help with this. For baths, there are CBD bath bombs available. Simply put them into the bath and relax. The chemicals coming off the bath bomb wll be absorbed by the skin and you will feel the CBD effects.
For the shower, there are CBD soaps available. These can be rubbed onto your skin like the CBD creams and the CBD will be absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream.
Most people in Britain start the day with a cup of tea or coffee. This can be a great way to get your CBD dosage, since you can simply add CBD oil to the drink and enjoy! Since there are tasteless CBD oils, this will not ruin the taste of the coffee or tea.
CBD oils can easily be taken under the tongue, by simply dropping a couple of drops on the tongue. These can be taken through the day as required, and there is no specific time to take them, but as you start taking it, you will start finding the time that's best for you.
People who already vape would know vaping is an easy thing to fit into your daily routine. While some places don't allow vaping, you can still vape outside. Vaping with CBD is just as easy. You just need a CBD e-liquid or a CBD vape pen and you can vape while enjoying the CBD benefits.
CBD Gummies are sweets containing CBD. Like normal sweets, these can be taken throughout the day, simply take one or two whenever you need them. Always make sure to carry some sweets in your bag or pocket so you don't run out.
CBD tablets can be taken in the same way as normal tablets, simply take them when needed throughout the day, followed by a drink to help it go down easily.
It's easy to cook with CBD! All you need to do is get some CBD oil, or some CBD isolate to mix with a carrier oil. Next, simply add the oil when you are cooking. Since isolates are tasteless, the food would not be ruined by the CBD. You can then eat the food like normal and enjoy the CBD benefits!

CBD can be taken in all sorts of ways, and all of these ways can easily fit into your daily routine. Have a nice day!
]]>The main reason why you cannot drive after smoking cannabis is because of the psychoactive elements to it, which affects your reaction times and your co-ordination. The chemical in marijuana that creates this "high" is tetrahydrocannabinol (or THC for short).
Due to European law, CBD can only contain a very small amount of THC (a maximum of 0.2% THC). This amount is not big enough to create any psychoactive effects and therefore will not get you high.
Yes. This is because CBD reacts with 2 receptors on the endocannabinoid system which are responsible for helping manage pain and regulate appetite. Taking CBD can alter your mood, but not in a bad way, and your functions don't stop working when you take it.
It is worth noting, however, that some people can experience side effects from taking CBD, like lightheadedness. While these effects are not serious, it is best not to drive if you feel these effects.
The best way not to feel these effects is by taking a low strength of CBD. You should consult your doctor to see what strength you should take, since different people have different limits.
A recent study found at Inverse.com, suggests that if you are unsure - then simply don't do it.
While it is safe to drive with CBD, there are some tips that you should do to make yourself safer when driving with CBD.
CBD should not show up on a drug test, since it is THC that is picked out on a drug test, and it only comes in a very small, undetectable amount in CBD. If you get a product that has lots of THC in, it may then show up, but these amounts are not generally legal.
There are occasions where CBD does show up due to the composition and quality of the product taken, but this is very rare. Be sure you pick high quality CBD products to avoid this.
Conclusion
Overall, CBD is safe and legal to drive with, but high strengths can cause minor side effects like dizziness which may affect your driving. Make sure you know the best strength to take before you drive, and have a nice day!
]]>In 2018, due to the Farm Bill, the definition of hemp was changed to cannabis containing less than 0.3% THC by dry weight and was therefore legalised in the United States. This stopped hemp from being a controlled substance, so the plant, and any of its extracts, is now legal. Hemp has now become the main source of CBD oil extraction due to its high levels of CBD.
When hemp extraction happens, the active compounds in the plant materials are separated by a liquid passing through the plant materials. Then the cannabinoids, terpenes, and other plant compounds are extracted as oil and further refined before the final product is created.
CO2 extraction is commonly considered an excellent technique for extracting CBD. Carbon dioxide is placed under high pressure for this process, while maintaining a low temperature. The carbon dioxide is converted into a liquid due to the pressure, before flowing through the plant material with an extraction efficiency of up to 90%, rendering the resultant extract a highly concentrated, completely pure oil product.
This is an efficient process, however it requires specialized equipment and skilled operators. Therefore, the resultant oil costs are often higher for the customer but it helps to produce the best quality products.
Ethanol extraction is deemed a cheaper process than CO2 extraction, and is used by several companies because it can produce high-quality extracts. Nevertheless, after extraction, it may still need more experienced workers and extra processing.
This method uses an alcohol solvent, usually ethanol. The FDA generally considers ethanol to be safe, and it is often used as a food preservative and additive. It is a polar solvent, meaning it will combine with water and dissolve any soluble particles including cannabis compounds. The result is a dark-colored oil which gives a bitter and grassy taste.
Chlorophyll is one of the other chemicals extracted using ethanol, which can be separated from the oil through post-extraction filtering techniques, although some cannabinoids can also be removed, resulting in a lower quality CBD oil. Some ethanol extractors have found that cold temperatures will help with the extraction.
The outcome of this method can be very beneficial with a skilled worker, with some favouring it to CO2 extraction due to the quality.+ However, if the operator is not as experienced, mistakes are more common, with the likelihood of chemical contamination, or the risk of a substance of lower quality.
Hydrocarbon extraction was an early process of extraction using a light hydrocarbon solvent, usually butane, propane or hexane, to remove the cannabis oil. These hydrocarbons boil at low temperatures, making the method of extracting CBD easy.
Though the method is cheap and easy, there are issues that might not make it ideal. The resultant product contains less terpenes and cannabinoids such as CBD, and a larger amount of THC. It can leave unsafe residue, which could interfere with any immune function. Because the extraction method has proven both hazardous and inefficient, it is now seldom used by CBD companies.
This lesser-known form of extraction uses the fats (or' lipids') to absorb and capture cannabinoids. Sometimes, organic coconut oil is used for the process. This extraction does not involve the use of harsh solvents or CO2 but is still not a common method of extraction, but it is also used by some boutique companies.
Now you should know how CBD is extracted. Normally, CBD products would use CO2 or ethanol extraction, but other extraction methods may be used. Have a nice day!
]]>A study in 2018 by YouGov found that 74% of people have felt so stressed that they have ben overwhelmed or unable to cope. Most people have at some point in their life experienced stress and know that it is difficult to concentrate when stressed.
This is due to a chemical known as cortisol which is released when the body is stressed to help regulate the body. High levels of cortisol have been shown to cause a decrease in concentration.
CBD has shown in many studies to help treat stress by binding to a specific receptor on the endocannibinoid system. The seratonin recepters bind to the CBD in a similar way to other medications, which helps to regulate stress and calm the mind.

Sleep is imperative for humans since, without sleep, our brain would eventually crash like a computer. Some people can struggle to sleep due to things like stress and insomnia. If you've ever worked after not getting much sleep the previous night, you'll know that your concentration is affected.
If you don't get enough sleep, your cortisol levels rise and your cognitive functions decrease. With bad cognitive functions, you are slower and you find it harder to process things which, on top of the high concentration levels, can lead to extreme difficulty in concentrating.
Lack of sleep can be caused by a number of things, and CBD can usually help. The main thing is stress, which, as mentioned above, CBD can cure. It can also be caused by pain. CBD has been shown to be able to relieve pain due to its anti-inflammatory effects.
For severe cases of lack of focus, attention deficit disorder (or ADD) is often the cause. Usually only happening in children, it has also been shown to affect adults as well, which can cause issues at the workplace.
Attention deficit disorder is a cognitive disorder that causes a variety of behavioural problems such as trouble following instruction, fulfilling tasks and interacting with others. With ADD, you can find your mind races and you easily get distracted by other things.
One of the main symptoms of ADD is hyperactivity, where kids are always jumping around but not due to sugar or wanting attention. CBD can help reduce hyperactivity. When CBD interacts with the endocannabinoid system, it helps with cognitive functions, and can improve the mental state, behaviour and performance of the user.
Modern day life can bring us lots of distractions, from our phone constantly going off to a favourite song playing on the radio to a friend talking to you about the weekend. While we believe we can multitask and work while listening to music, it is sometimes not so easy.
Since these are exterior distractions, CBD cannot help, but there are ways to deal with it. The best thing to do is change your surroundings. Turn your phone on silent and avoid playing music when you have something important to do, since even a little distraction can cause you to lose all your concentration.
It isn't easy to concentrate, but it's good to know that CBD can help. Pick up some CBD to help you concentrate during that difficult exam, and have a nice day.
]]>Weight gain is caused by taking in more calories than what is released, like eating calorie-rich foods but not burning them off. Our ability to burn fat is affected by a number of things, and a compromised digestive system often comes from imbalance in the hormones and changes in inflammation levels, metabolic patterns and the endocannabinoid system.
Steady weight loss is caused by balance between the immune, digestion and nervous system, and the endocannabinoid system acts as a bridge between the three.
People believe that cannabis actually increases hunger instead of stopping it. While this is true, it is down to the THC (the psychoactive element), rather than the CBD. CBD does not increase your appetite.
According to a 2018 report, CB1 receptor antagonists can help to reduce appetite and regulate obesity by blocking or "deactivating" the receptor. Although CBD does not directly deactivate CB1 receptors, certain molecules may be stimulated to block them. The suppression of these receptors will help to reduce the appetite in some individuals and discourage overeating.
An earlier research study published in 2012 found that the hunger of rats was decreased by CBD administration. Whilst there is plenty of evidence supporting the theory of CBD and suppression of appetite, no human trials have yet been performed in this area.
According to a 2018 report, obesity can cause many metabolic disorders, like high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and type 2 diabetes.
This is done by overactivating the body's CB receptors. This can contribute to obesity and the above-mentioned metabolic effects as CB1 receptors are over-stimulated throughout the body in the fat tissue.
Since CBD can block the CB1 receptors, the threat of obesity may also be reduced. A review in Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research discusses several previous studies which include CBD and metabolic influences, especially in rodents.
Rats treated with CBD reported a 25 percent decrease of cholesterol over time. In addition, CBD's anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects have reduced blood sugar levels and strengthened liver function markers.
White fat is most common, responsible for preserving and supplying energy while insulating the organs. It is, however, the type of fat commonly associated with chronic diseases like heart diseaser when a lot is consumed.
Brown fat, however, is responsible for generating heat by burning calories. Those with a healthy weight seem to have more brown fat than overweight people.
Studies have found that CBD can help convert white fat into brown fat. A test-tube study found that CBD caused white fat cells to "brown" and increased the activity of specific genes and proteins that promote brown fat. However, human research is still required.
Although use of marijuana is often associated with increased intake of food, those who use marijuana products tend to weigh less than those who do not.
For example, a review of more than 50,000 people reported an obesity rate of 14-17% among those who used cannabis at least 3 days a week, compared with 22-25% among those who reported no use of marijuana in the past 12 months. As CBD is prevalent in marijuana, it’s likely involved in this relationship, although it’s unclear how.
While CBD may have a beneficial effect on loss of appetite and weight, it can also cause weight gain. CBD has been shown in some studies to improve appetite. In fact, one of CBD treatment's most common side effects is the increase of appetite.
Experts surveyed 117 parents of CBD-treated children to monitor effects of epilepsy. While the parents recorded a decrease in symptoms of epilepsy, 30% of them believed that CBD oil significantly increased the appetite of their children.
Nonetheless, some studies show mixed results on appetite-related effects of CBD.
One 3-month study gave 23 children with Dravet syndrome up to 11.4 mg of CBD per pound of body weight (25 mg per kg). Some children had improved appetite, but others had reductions. In addition, a recent review of 2,409 people using CBD found that 6.35% had increased hunger.
In order to understand the full effects of CBD on appetite, further research is needed.
In conclusion, while some studies have shown that CBD can help with weight loss, more research is needed to get the full details. For now, have a nice day.
]]>This is one of the most common mistakes of CBD vaping. CBD oil is not supposed to be vaped! CBD E-Liquids are more bioavailable than other CBD substances and are processed faster into the bloodstream. CBD oils are better to take sublingually and when vaped, they will not function as well as CBD e-liquids.
If you get a 10ml CBD e-liquid with 250mg of CBD, 2.5% of the bottle will be CBD. Some may think that getting a bigger bottle would be better, but it is not. Getting a 100ml e-liquid with 250 mg CBD will contain only 0.25% CBD, which means you get less CBD in each puff and you need to take more puffs to get the intake you need. While the 100ml might seem like a bargain, it ends up having less impact.
One common mistake people make is using their normal vape kit for CBD e-liquids. CBD e-liquid is fairly runny, so you don't want to put it in your usual tank because it's likely to drip out of the air holes. This is going to waste CBD and can make a mess as well.
The best thing to use when vaping CBD would be a starter kit or pod device. The good thing about this is that they are usually well priced, making it ok for normal vaping to have a separate vape device.
Some people believe hemp oil and CBD oil are the same, but they are not. Hemp oil contains much less CBD than CBD oil. Hemp oil ends up being better, but you get less. Do not be deceived into thinking that hemp oil will have the same impact as full spectrum CBD. Although it's cheaper, there's a reason for it.
Do not purchase a CBD e-liquid containing nicotine. When nicotine is added, the CBD is degraded. CBD e-liquids are best used for the effects of CBD rather than as an alternate to smoking. Have another e-liquid or even a separate device for nicotine products (both can be obtained on our sister site). Just make sure the CBD oil is kept free of nicotine.
You should now be able to avoid any mistakes when vaping CBD. Buy some CBD e-liquids today, including some CBD e-liquid offers available this Black Friday! Happy vaping and a nice day!
]]>Shen Neng, Emperor of China, prescribed cannabis tea for the treatement of gout, rheumatism, tuberculosis and even bad memory as early as 2737 B.C. The use of the substance as a medication expanded through Asia, the Middle East and along Africa's eastern coast, and some Hindu groups in India used cannabis for religious reasons and relaxation. Ancient doctors prescribed cannabis for everything from relief of pain to earache to even pregnancy.
By the late 18th century, early editions of American medical journals revealed guidelines for curing inflamed skin, incontinence, and venereal disease with hemp seeds and roots. Throughout Britain and America, Irish physician William O'Shaughnessy popularised medical use of marijuana. He discovered hemp relieved the pain of rheumatism and assisted in cases of rabies, tetanus and cholera, avoiding discomfort and nausea.
Almost a century after the publishing of O'Shaughnessy's report, developments in research and technology confirmed the existence of compounds in the cannabis plant. The first identification of a single cannabinoid was reported when British chemist Robert S. Cahn identified the partial cannabinol structure, which he subsequently identified as fully formed in 1940.
Two years later American scientist, Roger Adams made history when he effectively extracted the first cannabinoid, Cannabidiol (CBD). He also discovered Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in his research.
Within the initial stages of cannabinoid research, researchers had minimal awareness of the cannabinoid structure and only limited understanding of the biological structure within the plant. Due to this, early scientists were unable to determine exactly which compound caused which effect.
Dr. Raphael Mechoulam made the first breakthrough in 1963 when he effectively recognised CBD's stereochemistry. A year later, Mecholam made another discovery and identified THC's stereochemistry, revealing the cannabinoids' direct relationship to the hallucinogenic effects of cannabis use, and disassociating CBD as a mind-altering drug.
In the 1980s, Dr. Mechoulam and his colleagues conducted research on the possible use of CBD in epilepsy treatment in the study, Mechoulam and his team prescribed a group of 8 subjects with daily doses of 300mg of CBD. Half of the subjects stopped having seizures after just four months of treatment, with the others showing a significant decrease in the frequency of their seizures.
This was a huge discovery that could have changed the lives of more than 50 million epileptics around the globe, however, due to the prejudices towards cannabis during that time, the discovery was not publicised as any kind of breakthrough.Nevertheless, Dr. Mechoulam's efforts would not go to waste.
Less than a decade later, research in cannabinoid medicinal applications reported the identification of additional cannabinoids, more knowledge of cannabinoid structure and the remarkable discovery of the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) in our body— a network of receptors which bind with cannabinoid receptors.
Charlotte Figi was born in 2006 with Dravet's Syndrome, a rare but severe form of epilepsy. Charlotte had lost most of her ability to walk, speak, and eat by the age of just four, and was suffering 300 seizures a week. Although her parents had explored all the modern medicine solutions they could, nothing improved their daughter's condition. They turned to CBD as a last resort.
Charlotte's seizures ended nearly instantly after taking a small dose of CBD oil derived from a high-CBD hemp plant. When hours had passed by and Charlotte had no seizures, her parents knew that their wishes had been answered— CBD worked.
Now, Charlotte is experiencing only 2 or 3 seizures a month — a significant reduction from the previous 300 seizures a week. Charlotte now has the ability to live a normal life with most of her normal functions recovered.
The prejudice against CBD and cannabis has dramatically changed in the years since Charlotte's story. Those who once opposed cannabis now turn to CBD for relief and their medicinal properties help change countless lives across the world. Although major progress has been made by the campaign, we are still only in the early stages. CBD continues to thrive at exponential rates.
Here in the UK, two CBD medicines have recently become available to prescribe in NHS hospitals, paving the way for more advancements in CBD in the future, and hopefully soon changing the world for the better.
]]>Hemp seeds and hemp oils have been shown to be highly nutritious, and an excellent source of protein, minerals and fibre. Because of this, many people use it to make things like hemp milk and hemp cheese substitutes, as well as protien powder substitutes. This has been found to give you the essential amino acids and nutrients required. Many people get this from fish, but hemp oil is used by people concerned about overfishing, as well as vegetarians.
Hemp is also good for animals, with many vets recommending it for pets and livestock. Many fishermen in Europe use hemp seeds on water as an effective bait. Birds have shown to prefer hemp seeds over normal birdseed when given the option.
Hemp is also an effective ingredient in lotions and creams. CBD creams specifically are some of the most popular CBD products, with their healing abilities when used on the skin.
Hemp has become a popular ingredient in many lotions, as well as many other hair, skin and cosmetic products. It is a better alternative to the toxic chemicals in many petroleum based lotions and cosmetics.
Hemp has been shown to be an ideal material for making paper. Unlike traditional paper, where trees used can take over 30 years to become harvestable again, hemp plants only take a few months to grow, meaning that using hemp for paper can save the world's forests.
Hemp paper has been used for thousands of years to make paper, since it makes a quality paper that is acid free and does not disintegrate like conventional paper.
Hemp is also used to make a variety of fabrics, being similar to but more durable than cotton. It is also used to make rugs and other textiles. The word canvas, meaning a woven cloth used for clothing, actually comes from the Latin for hemp.
The oldest known woven fabric was made of hemp, and there is an urban legend that both the first Levi jeans and the first American flag was made of hemp. It was a common material before the cotton industry grew in America.
Hemp is also the traditional material used to make rope fibres, due to its flexibility, strength and water damage resistance. In the past, hemp has been used for ropes, nets and sails for fishers and the Navy.
Hemp has been used in lamp oil for centuries before people started using petroleum in the 1870's. To this day, hemp oil is used to create biofuels, which can replace the gasoline in diesel engines. Unlike fossil fuels, these are renewable and produce less of the carbon monoxide.
Recently, there have been many things in the news regarding plastic being bad for the environment, with plastic bags and plastic straws both having new legal restrictions on them.
In 1941, Henry Ford, the founder of Ford cars, unveiled a car made of hemp plastics, and running on hemp oils. The car was shown to be effective, weighing 1000lb less than a regular car, and able to withstand an axe. Unfortunately, the car was never put into mass production, so steel cars and normal plastics continued to be used.
However, currently, the number of products made from hemp plastic is on the increase as awareness of the plastic alternative grows.
Hemp has shown to be an effective building material, able to replace wood and concrete. One company, Hempcrete, uses hemp mixed with a lime binder to make a natural, airtight insulation material bringing an effective thermal performance.
These hemp materials are lightweight, waterproof, fireproof, self insulating and resistant to pests, making them the perfect alternative.
While there are many great uses for hemp, they aren't all regularly used. This is due to legislations against hemp, with people believing it is similar to marijuana, though hemp has only trace amounts of THC. Hopefully soon hemp will be a widely used resource for many things. For now, have a nice day!
]]>The first, and most popular, is CBD oils. CBD Oils is a simple liquid with CBD in that you can either take in your food or sublingually.
The bottle comes with a dripper, so it can easily be dripped into food or under the tongue. Some CBD oils are tateless, so are better in food, since it doesn't change the taste of what you're eating. Others, like the Somnio Chocolate Hazelnut Oil, are better taken sublingully.
To take it sublingually, just drop the recommended amount of drops under your tongue and leave them for a minute. The oil will then be absorbed by the blood vessels under the tongue, after which you can swallow the oil.

With vaping being a big part in today's society, the CBD market is full of e-liquids for you to enjoy.
E-Liquids are used by pouring some into a vape tank, which attaches to a vape mod. When the mod is activated, the coils in the tank heat up, evaporating the e-liquid.
E-Liquid usually contains Vegetable Glycerin and Propylene Glycerol. This controls the vape cloud and the throat hit respectively. They also contain various flavourings depending on what you pick. Normal e-liquids contain nicotine, an addictive substance also found in cigars, and the reason many people move to vaping from smoking. CBD e-liquids however replace the nicotine with CBD.
Check out some CBD e-liquids today, like Harmony's wide range of eliquids.
One way of getting CBD without having to digest it is with the creams and balms. These are rubbed on the skin over the infected area.
Once the CBD is applied to the skin, the skin absorbs it and attaches to the cannabinoid receptors to provide with the health benefits you need.
These creams can come in different aromas, from coconut to chocolate, giving you a wonderful smell as well as a good feeling.
Check out some CBD creams today, like Somnio's Rescue Balm.
Tablets are a very common way of taking medication, so obviously you can get CBD tablets.
Like normal tablets, these are taken by simply swallowing the pill and having a glass of water after it to help it go down easily.
Also like normal tablets, these are tasteless. You can easily find out how many you need to take since they are all the same size, with the strength listed on the box.
Check out some CBD pills today, like Appled Nutrition's Pro CBD Capsules.
Edibles are one of the most common ways of getting CBD.
Edibles are simply foods, typically sweets, infused with CBD. Like tablets, edibles are easy to take, since each edible contains the same amount of CBD, and the strength is typically listed on the packaging.
CBD edibles come in a number of different ways, from simple gummies (like Koi CBD's Tropical Gummies) to chocolates, chewing gum, coffee, lemonade and even flapjacks!
Check out some CBD edibles today, like the Love Hemp Gummy Bears.
Another way of getting CBD is through bath bombs.
Bath bombs give off chemicals when in water, creating a fizzing effect and changing the colour of the water. The chemicals released in CBD Bombs can help to heal the skin and the body.
These, like the creams, can come in a variety of aromas, so you can have a wonderful smell when you're bathing.
Check out some CBD Bath Bombs today, including the Lemongrass and Kiwi.
Now you can decide the best way to get your CBD. Have a nice day!
]]>There is much research about how CBD may help smokers.
A study made in 2013 used 24 smokers, with half of them given a CBD vaporizer and the remaining participants were received a placebo vape, which contains no CBD. They were told to use the vape when they felt the urge to smoke but were not instructed to quit or cut down on it. The people who used the CBD vaporizer found their smoking habits cut down by up to 40% while the people who vaped the placebo experienced no difference. After further research, the scientists found CBD vapers had the potential to help smokers continue reducing their nicotine usage.
UCL did a study into this in 2018, where they gave 30 dependant smokers either a CBD pill or a placebo. The people who took the CBD showed less attentional bias to the tobacco-related stimuli than the people who took the placebo. They also found the subjects using CBD rated smoking-related images as less pleasant.
One of the things CBD might help is people fighting addiction, or more specifically, going through a relapse.
In a study in 2018, scientists tested CBD on animal subjects who have a history of self-administering cocaine or alcohol or had characteristics of a relapsing addict. After administering CBD to them once a day for seven days, they found that the treatment not only stopped the development of previously shown addict-like qualities but also stopped the subjects from relapsing for up to 5 months.
This has only been tested on animals and it may work on humans too, but more tests need to be done.
Vaping CBD is one of the leading ways to quit smoking, and it’s healthier and comes in a variety of flavours.
Recently, CBD e-liquids and CBD vapes have come out so you can enjoy a vape with the addition of CBD. These liquids do not come with nicotine. Instead, the nicotine has been replaced with CBD, but it can still give you the feel of a regular cigarette. Check out our range of CBD e-liquids today!
Now you should know how CBD can help you this Stoptober. Pick up some CBD on our website today, and have a nice day!
]]>Marijuana's use for pain relief dates back to 2900 BC when it was used by the Ancient Chinese. Recently, scientists have found that there are certain compounds in cannabis, one of them being cannabidiol (CBD), which has the potential to help relieve pain.
The body contains a complex cell-signalling system called the endocannabinoid system, which is involved in regulating many of the body's functions like sleep, appetite and pain. In fact, the body produces cannabinoids, which can bind to the cannabinoid receptors.
Studies made by the National Institute of Health (NIH) have found CBD may help to reduce chronic pain by impacting the endocannabinoid receptor activity, decreasing inflammation and interacting with the neurotransmitters. One study using rats discovered that injecting CBD reduced pain response to surgical incisions, while another study gave rats oral treatment of CBD, which reduced sciatic nerve pain (the nerve running from the hip to the feet) and inflammation.
Human studies have also been completed with CBD. These have found that a combination of CBD and THC may be effective against arthritis and multiple sclerosis pain. One study of 47 people suffering from multiple sclerosis investigated the effects of Sativex, a prescription medication that combines THC and CBD as an oral spray, for one month. Participants found improvements in their pain, walking, and muscle spasms, though the study did not have a control group. Another study of 58 rheumatoid arthritis sufferers found Sativex improved pain during movement and rest.
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), depression is the largest contributor to worldwide disability, with anxiety ranked 6th. These illnesses are usually treated with pharmaceutical drugs, though these can cause a number of side effects such as drowsiness, insomnia and sexual dysfunction. CBD Oil has been shown to treat both depression and anxiety without the pharmaceutical side effects, leading many people to become interested in it.
In a study, 24 social anxiety sufferers were given either 600mg of CBD or a placebo before they had a public speaking assessment. The group that has the CBD felt significantly less anxious and more comfortable than the people given placebos.
CBD's effect on seizures was first discovered through the story of Charlotte Figi, a girl who suffered from Dravet's Syndrome, a rare but severe form of epilepsy. This got to a point where she was having seizures 300 times a week before, as a last resort, Charlotte's parents tried medical marijuana. The number of seizures dramatically dropped, to only getting the seizures 2-3 times a month.
Tests continue into this, including one study of 214 people with epilepsy. They were given 0.9 to 2.3 grams of CBD oil per pound, and their seizures reduced by an average of 36.5%.
CBD might even help with cancer-related symptoms like nausea and pains. One study looked at the effects of CBD in 177 people with cancer-related pain. Those with an extract containing both CBD and THC experienced a significant pain reduction compared to people who just take THC.
CBD may be able to help people suffering from chemotherapy-related nausea and vomiting. A study of 16 people going through chemotherapy found that a combination of CBD and THC in a mouth spray helped to reduce chemo-related nausea better than normal methods.
Some test-tube and animal studies have been done, including one that found that concentrated CBD caused cell death in human breast cancer cells, as well as stopping the spread of aggressive breast cancer cells in mice. These studies were done on animals and test tubes however, so they cannot be completely relied upon for humans. More research is needed to see if this works on humans.
Acne is a common skin condition that affects more than 90% of the population. Some studies have shown that, due to its anti-inflammatory properties, CBD has the potential to help treat acne.
One test-tube study found CBD oil prevents the sebaceous glands from secreting excess sebum, applying anti-inflammatory actions and preventing the activation of pro-acne agents. Another study found too that the anti-inflammatory effects of CBD can help treat acne.
These studies are not conclusive, however, as they have not had human clinical trials.
Now you should know the positive effects of CBD on the body. Pick up some CBD today, and have a nice day!
]]>It's important to note that even if CBD oil is legal in your country, passing borders with CBD oil can be unlawful. Be cautious.
It’s easy to take CBD oil in the hand luggage if you want to be able to access it on the flight, but it can be put in the hold luggage if you do not need it while flying.
Since most CBD oils come in 10ml bottles, they don’t break the 100ml liquid limit and can be carried in hand luggage. However, it might be better to keep it sealed and wait until your end destination. If you want to use it, keep it in a plastic see-through bag to avoid spillage and for easy inspection. Alternatively, you can try CBD gummies or tablets for an easier alternative.
Some ways of taking CBD can't be done on a plane. Since vaping is banned on planes for various reasons, CBD e-liquids and vape pens can't be used. While bath bombs are allowed on the plane, you obviously can't use them since most planes don't contain baths.
If you are using a UK airport, you can be sure that CBD oils have been seen by the staff before. Treat CBD oils like you would treat any other food supplement.
Be aware, even though it is legal to fly from the UK with CBD oil, it may not be legal in your destination. Take a look at our guide to see how legal CBD is where you are going.
Flying from the UK to the rest of the European Union is currently the easiest destinations to reach by plane with CBD. Travelling from the UK to the EU with CBD is simple since the authorities are already well aware of CBD, so you don’t need to worry about it. Flying with CBD products to the EU is fine so long as the products meet the UK’s requirements (less than 2%THC.)
Flying with CBD to Spain is fine. Spain offers several CBD brands. Any UK-legal CBD products will not be an issue, but if you are worried about it, keep an invoice with you. Then, enjoy the sun, sea and sand of Spain!
All marijuana was illegal in carry-on bags and checked luggage up until May 2019, where the Transport Security Administration (TSA) updated its guidance on carrying medical marijuana, allowing you to bring some forms of CBD oil, so long as it is produced within the regulations defined by the law. In the United States, that’s any products that contain less than .3% of THC.
The TSA's new laws still ban other forms of marijuana, including CBD products containing more than .3% THC and cannabis-infused products that are still illegal under federal law. However, it’s not yet known how TSA agents determine the difference. TSA agents usually screen for possible threats but they do not search for illegal drugs, however, anything suspicious found is reported to the authorities.
There are some countries that do not allow medical marijuana at all. While you may not want to go to all of these countries, here is a thorough list just in case:

Be sure to know that laws change regularly, so always check the laws in the country you're travelling to.
Now you should know how to travel with your CBD products. Be sure to always check the law in case it changes, and have a nice day!
]]>Everyone likes a good nap now and again, but sometimes it isn't that easy, especially if you're in pain. Insomnia is more common in seniors, due to sleeping patterns changing as you get older, as well as various pains in parts of the body that make it difficult to sleep.
Since sleep helps to refresh us and remove our toxins, insomnia can be very bad for seniors. To treat these sleeping disorders, many seniors use sleeping medications, though these can cause problems of their own. CBD, however, can possibly tackle the causes of sleep deprivation, including anxiety, pain and general unbalance in the body, without the negative effects of regular sleep medications.
Nearly every senior suffers from some sort of pain, whether it’s in the neck, back, the feet or the head. But they don't have to suffer. Some studies show CBD can possibly reduce inflammation and relieve pain from conditions like arthritis, joint pains and multiple sclerosis. This is done by activating receptors in the endocannabinoid system and potentially offering pain reduction with minimal side effects compared to prescription medications.
As our bodies age, we may experience a condition called osteoporosis, where our bones experience a loss of minerals and become fragile and brittle, making them more prone to breaking. Seniors can experience severe pain and bone fractures if they have a fall.
For adults aged 65 or over, falling is one of the biggest causes of death, so bone health is a serious issue. CBD has the potential to reduce inflammation, repair cells, strengthen bones, and possibly aid the healing process if a fracture does occur.
Medication is usually the first thing people turn to when they have an illness. While it works as a temporary solution, it often needs increased dosage that can lead to further damage to the body and can also lead to dependency on the medication.
CBD may alleviate conditions involving that medication, and can also fight the dependency that has been brought on from the medication. CBD may help combat addiction by preventing relapses. While research is ongoing, studies have found that after administering CBD for seven days, some patients no longer exhibit addictive behaviours, and it’s shown the potential to reduce the chances of a relapse.
Heart disease is one of the most common conditions among adults, with nearly half of American adults suffering from high blood pressure, one of the leading causes of heart conditions. CBD may be an effective treatment for high blood pressure.
A study from 2017 treated 10 men with a 600mg dosage of CBD and discovered it potentially reduced the resting heart rate of the subjects. They also did a stress test and found the subjects had a lower blood pressure increase than normal. More research is necessary to confirm these results.
Studies have also found CBD may reduce cardiac inflammation and deter cell death caused by oxidative stress. This is due to its antioxidant properties. By reducing blood pressure, cardiac inflammation and cell death, CBD can possibly improve overall heart health.
Mood swings can increase as you get older with illnesses or loss of a loved one taking a heavy toll on your emotional state. If this is prolonged, it can link to major mental issues, with mental issues more likely if a person is suffering from neglect, loneliness or isolation.
CBD may help to treat these conditions. By interacting with the receptors involved in regulating a mood, CBD has the potential to ease stress, calming the mind and improving cognitive functions. Together, these greatly contribute to how the mind sees the current situation and can help to change the mood.
While there is no conclusive proof yet that CBD can help Alzheimer's, many studies have been made to support it. CBD can reduce neuroinflammation associated with Alzheimer's disease by reducing the effect of Abeta infused neuroinflammatory responses.
Cannabinoids can also reduce the agitation and aggression associated with Alzheimer's, as well as preventing the development of social recognition defects.
One of the biggest health issues associated with some seniors is a loss of appetite, which may be due to mental and physical pain among other things. This can cause severe weight loss as well as tissue weakness and worsening mental issues.
One of the possible side effects of CBD is that it has the potential to improve appetite, making it a good stimulant and therefore an ideal product for seniors.
Now you should know some of the many potential benefits that CBD can bring to seniors. Buy a bottle of CBD oil here, and have a nice day!

CBD Gummies are normal candy sweets infused with CBD oil. These usually come in bags or bottles and are often available in different flavours, like regular candy, and a good source of CBD for a multitude of reasons.
The other ways of taking CBD are all complicated in some way. Some CBD oils are taken under the tongue and have to be left there for a few minutes. You must vape CBD E-Liquids, which requires a vape pen (If you already have one, this isn't too much of a problem). CBD creams require you to rub the product onto your body and to get the effect from CBD bath bombs, it’s necessary to take a bath.
CBD Gummies, however, are easy to take, since all you need to do is eat the sweet and carry on with your daily routine. No vape pens, complicated oils, or baths are required.
As mentioned here, getting a precise CBD dose can be tricky. With CBD oil, you have to use the dripper and an equation to work out how much CBD you get from each drop. With CBD E-liquid, you have to keep an eye on how much liquid is added to the tank.
CBD Gummies are easy. Every gummy has a set amount of CBD in there, so you can work out how much you are taking and how much you need accurately.
When vaping CBD, the vapour goes to the lungs, which stops the vapour from getting out. This means that only a small amount of CBD is reaching your brain.
With CBD gummies, the CBD goes to your stomach, which lets things through, allowing more CBD to reach your brain. This means you may need less CBD gummies and therefore pay less money.
The digestive system works rather slowly, as otherwise all the nutrients would suddenly flood your system and you would be left with nothing. The stomach delivers the nutrients to the body slowly over time so the food lasts longer than just an hour.
The same is true for CBD gummies. The CBD is released slowly over the course of a few hours, allowing you to feel the benefits of pain relief and.serenity. This is different from taking CBD through a vape since they reach their peak in an hour, and the benefits then decrease.
Another benefit of CBD gummies is they can be taken discreetly without causing a fuss. No dropper is required for the gummies, and you don’t need to rub it onto the skin. You don't have to bathe with the gummies. They can be simply popped into the mouth like a normal sweet.
Since CBD gummies are like normal candy, they taste like everyday candies, too. While this may not be a good thing for people who don't like candy, the people who do will enjoy taking their regular dose of CBD. It's not like a tablet that you have to drink with water, and they can come in all different flavours, from fruits to mint and chocolate.
This may be a bad thing for people looking to get high, but CBD gummies do not get you high since all legal CBD products contain an incredibly small amount of THC so you won't start getting headaches and feeling sick.
We can't talk about a CBD product without mentioning the potential benefits. It may help with seizures (like in the case of Charlotte Figi), anxiety, pain relief, diabetes and can possibly even help with cancer. All these benefits can come in a small, simple sweet.
Now you should know some of the many benefits of CBD Gummies.
]]>This question can be answered in different ways. How long does CBD take to take effect? How long do the effects of CBD last? How long does the CBD stay in your system? And how long does a bottle of CBD oil last?
CBD usually takes effect in around 30 to 60 minutes, depending on how it is taken. Vaping, smoking or taking the oil sublingually (under the tongue) bypasses the digestive system, meaning the effects can be felt quickly. When it is vaped or smoked, the CBD is passed through the lungs and is absorbed by the bloodstream. When taken sublingually, the oil is absorbed through the bloodstream via the gums or the tissues under the tongue.
It takes longer to feel the effects of CBD if it is just ingested, up to an hour if taken with food. Some suppliers say that it should be taken on an empty stomach, however, because of how the CBD is metabolised through the digestive system, less is absorbed if taken without food, which is not the best idea.
The effects of CBD usually last between 4 to 6 hours, though, with a stronger strength of CBD, it can last longer. The duration of the effects of CBD depends on how the CBD is taken. If it is ingested, like edibles, capsules or oil in food, it takes longer to work, but lasts longer. Vaporisation works fast, in a matter of seconds, but it will wear off in 60 to 90 minutes.
Though it only lasts for a few hours, the CBD usually stays in the system for longer. The half-life of CBD (the time taken for half of the substance's concentration to decrease) in the human body is 2-5 days.
This was discovered in a study by the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center. In the study, 14 patients suffering from Huntington's disease (an inherent condition that damages nerve cells in the brain) were given a high dosage of CBD (approximately 700mg per patient) daily for six weeks.
One week after the experiment had finished, the patients were tested. The blood plasma levels of CBD were found to be “virtually undetectable”, even with such a high dosage of CBD. They also found no THC was detected in any patient.
This depends on the strength of the CBD bottle and how many mg they are taking each day. If you are using a 300mg oil and taking a daily dose of 10mg a day, the tincture would last around 30 days, and a 600mg bottle will last 60 days, depending on how accurately you can dose.
If properly stored, most CBD products can last up to a year, with some suppliers claiming they can last even longer. Not all products are designed with a long shelf life. However, since they contain additives that do not last as long. Be sure to check the best before dates on the bottles for the best indicator.
Cannabinoids can deteriorate and break down when exposed to heat, light or oxygen. To prevent damage from light, CBD Oil is often sold in dark brown or coloured containers. It is best to keep oils in a cool dark place, like a refrigerator, so there is no loss of strength.
Now you should know how long CBD lasts. Be sure to pick up some oils, e-liquids and more from our shop, and have a nice day!
]]>CBD is used by a wide range of people from all walks of life. One of the big demographics for CBD are athletes, who use it for many reasons. Today I will talk you through reasons why CBD is recommended for athletes.
Research show’s CBD has the potential to help to relieve pain in the muscles and joints. Athletes can suffer from inflammatory pain and studies have shown that CBD is a safer way to get relief. However, these tests have currently only been operated on animals, so more research is needed to see how this will translate for humans.
Some inflammation is good for endurance, however, most inflammation is negative during the training. CBD may reduce inflammation.
Cannabinoids are not as fast working as opioids, and the process of finding the correct dosage is more difficult. But results are better and require less monitoring since the athletes are less likely to get addicted to CBD. They still need to be careful, since trace amounts of THC in CBD can still show up on drug tests.
NSAIDs are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs that athletes have been using, however, they can have negative long term side effects like heart problems and strokes. CBD has the potential to relieve inflammation without the problems associated with NSAIDs.
CBD can't reduce stomach pain caused by dehydration and overheat (a large factor of why athletes suffer stomach pains). It may help ease symptoms of any inflammation. This can help with endurance for long-distance or extended time competitions.
CBD might help some people sleep better due to it’s potential to reduce stress and anxiety. This may reduce panic or concerns about upcoming events. They are then ready and refreshed for the event. Also, sleep can help give you time to heal and process muscle gains, burn carbohydrates and repair neurons.
The UK Anti-Doping Organisation recently released guidelines to consider, before taking any supplements containing CBD.
Now you should know why CBD might help athletes recover and get back on the track, court, or field. Stock up on oils, e-liquids and more, and have a nice day! ]]>People with a higher body mass will need more CBD to experience its effects fully. A good rule to follow is 1-6mg for every 10 pounds of body weight, so 20-33mg would be great for a patient weighing 200 pounds, while 15-25mg would be best for a 150-pound patient.
While this is a sound system, it isn't the best, since every human is different, and every human has different substances in their body, so what works for you may not work for someone else.
If you use this dosage initially, you can check how it does for you and then increase it until you get the perfect dosage.
If you are in doubt, the best thing to do is to consult your GP. Doctors don't know everything about CBD but might be able to work out how the CBD is reacting with your body.
While we now know what dosage we need, it’s still necessary to know how much we get. While it seems easy with the strength on the packaging, you're not likely to have a whole bottle of CBD oil at once.
These CBD oils are easily consumed by using a dropper to place the oil under the tongue and leaving it there for 30 to 90 seconds before swallowing. The dropper usually holds 1ml of liquid so, if you know the full amount of oil in the bottle, you can work out the strength with this simple equation.
[Total CBD in Bottle] ÷ [Number of Milliliters in Bottle] = MGs of CBD in a Dropper
So if you had a 10ml bottle of Intense CBD Oil by Somnio, you would do:
1500 ÷ 10 = 150mg of CBD in the dripper.
Like with CBD oil, you will start by working out how much is in the dropper. With this information, you will know how much you are putting into a single tank. Keep your eye on when you refill the tank and how many times you vape during the day.
If your proper dosage is 25mg, and you are using a 1000mg bottle of CBD, a single tank would contain approximately 33.33mg of CBD. To get the correct dosage, you would vape a single tank periodically through the day.
While the above systems are good, they are only semi-accurate. For a completely accurate way to get your dosage, take CBD capsules, since they provide you with an exact amount of CBD. If your optimal dosage is 16mg to 25mg, simply get a bottle of 25mg CBD capsules.
Other ways of getting an accurate amount include CBD edibles, CBD gummies or CBD beverages.
We hope this has helped you decide your best CBD dosage. Buy some capsules, edibles and more at our shop today!
]]>With the increased usage of CBD Oil for a variety of health purposes including stress relief or anxiety, many people are trying new ways to consume the oil including with cooking recipes, smoothies and coffees.
A chemical compound found in Hemp or CBD plants, however unlike the THC element which is responsible for the 'high' from marijuana. CBD oil is non-intoxicating and may have many suggest health benefits, which can also be diluted with olive, vegetable glycerin or coconut oil.
CBD is not a controlled substance due to contrary belief, due to the restrictions of THC content (which varies depending upon your location). Supporters of CBD oil believe there are a number of benefits including anxiety, acne, sleep, inflammation and more. Further studies are being conducted regularly. CBD Oil comes in many forms, available to buy online in the UK.

]]>CBD is one of 113 known phytocannabinoids (cannabinoids) that make up the cannabis plant. Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the most recognized of these molecules is which is the primary source of the plant's psychoactive effects (the "high"). CBD's movement in the medical community and public is mostly because it offers medicinal value without the psychoactive effects of THC.
Cannabis compounds often share some, but not all, characteristics. For areas where THC levels are regulated such as 0.2 per cent in the UK, 1 per cent in Switzerland, and 0.3 per cent in the U.S., CBD is a legal option in many areas of the world that offers the potential to treat dozens of medical conditions. In places where THC is legal for medical and/or recreational use, CBD allows people who don't tolerate THC well or are uncomfortable it's effects can get some benefits of cannabis.
The entourage effect is a theory of Dr. Ethan Russo, an expert in cannabinoid medicine. It considers the medical benefits of ALL the plant's compounds together rather than isolating one or two such as THC and CBD. While both forms have their advantages and disadvantages, the benefits of a whole plant extract outweigh the isolate.
In a recent interview with ProjectCBD Director, Martin A. Lee, Dr Russo explains,
So, cannabis is a botanical. This is a way of saying that it’s a plant-based medicine. And, although the thrust of pharmaceutical development for decades has been on single molecules, often synthetic, this is the more common concept in medicine historically. What I mean is, traditionally people have used plant drugs to treat their problems. It’s only been in the last 75 years there’s been this shift toward synthetics. So, a botanical doesn’t rely on one compound to produce beneficial effects. Rather there may be many – and that’s certainly the case in cannabis …
You can read the rest or watch the rest of the interview. But he goes on to explain that all the different molecules provide synergy or boost the initial effect of each cannabinoid. For example, CBD, THC, pinene, and myrcene all have pain-relieving properties. Together, even in a flower that has a low ratio of THC and high ratio of CBD, a whole plant extract can provide more pain relief than a single isolated compound (Only THC or only CBD.)
Yes—There is more data about THC and CBD than the other 111 known cannabinoids. However, that doesn't mean researchers are in the dark about them. Here are a few of the additional 111,
Each cannabis strain has different percentages of the cannabinoids. THC and CBD are dominant or major compounds and CBGV and THCV are minor ones with only a small amount in each plant. Proponents of isolates point out that the medicinal value of the individual molecules is as essential as the whole plant.
The cannabis plant gets its scent from the terpenes. There are more than 200 of these molecules in the cannabis plant and over 20,000 other plants. A few of the most abundant terpenes include:
There are more studies about terpene isolates than as a whole plant medicine. However, experts know that certain terpenes can enhance the benefits of the cannabinoids—Or create an entourage effect.
Cannabis flowers get their variety of deep greens, bright purples, yellows, and reds from flavonoids. Like terpenes, they are found in many plants besides cannabis. To date, researchers have isolated about 20 flavonoids in the cannabis plant.
The market for full spectrum extracts and CBD isolates is exploding. With the expansion of legal hemp production throughout the UK, Europe, and the world, expect this industry's growth to continue to reach new highs over the next few years. You can also expect researchers to remain at odds over the benefits of the entourage effect despite similar theories found in the medical community.
They say two brains are better than one, in this case, I would agree. The CBD entourage effect is something that should be noted as a 'Full Spectrum CBD' and can potentially increase the beneficial effects of taking CBD oil.

]]>Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the many compounds found in the cannabis plant. Full Spectrum CBD is a product containing not only the cannabidiol but also the many other cannabinoids in the plant. This version is usually minimally refined, leaving the cannabinoids and terpenes intact in the oil.
Full Spectrum is sometimes referred to as "whole-plant" and contains the full plant extract, provided more of the plant's molecules in ratios, as well as the amounts that nature intended. This is also known as the entourage effect.
These contain THC, but due to regulations, the THC must be kept at a small amount, since this is the compound of cannabis that causes hallucinogenic effects (i.e. gets you high). In the UK, the allowable amount is 0.2 per cent and imported CBD can contain no traces or less than .01 per cent.
Cannabidiol is often used with some terpenes (another cannabis compound that’s found in dozens of other plants, such as lavender, pine, and citrus fruits ) work together to influence each other and overall lead to the benefit of the user. It can help when CBD is used with THC to reduce the effects of a high and influence the user's cannabinoid receptors.
The full spectrum CBD contains CBD and other cannabinoids as explained below.
These are all the potential benefits you will get from the full spectrum and much more. However, opting for the isolate might mean losing some of these important properties completely as they are not available at all in the isolate. For others, it could mean losing some significant quantity of the properties that would have provided better results as opposed to using only the smaller quantities available in the isolate.
With the full spectrum, you will be able to access Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Vitamin B, protein and essential fats in high quantities. You will also get some quantity of Omega 6 and Omega 3 fatty acids as well as about twenty amino acids. Fatty acids are very beneficial to the health of the heart while amino acids make it possible for the body to produce more protein, thus aiding the time for recovery.
CBD Isolate products contain at least 99% pure cannabidiol, with CBD being the only active ingredient. The product has, as the name suggests, isolated down to just the CBD molecule.
The product aims to produce therapeutic doses of CBD, isolated from other cannabinoids and terpenes. These products usually come as a white powder or a mix with a carrier oil for improved absorption. Common carrier oils include vegetable glycerin, olive oil, coconut oil, propylene glycol.
Since Full Spectrum CBD contains different cannabinoids and terpenes, they have the advantage of potentially helping more with your health. Studies found that the effects of full-spectrum CBD on treating inflammatory conditions were superior to isolate CBD. Terpenes alone have shown incredible effects on human health.
However, a CBD Isolate does make it easier to get more CBD, as well as providing assurance of your dosage. Pure CBD has the potential to help treat a multitude of ailments, from diabetes and inflammation to anxiety and depression.
Some people don't like the taste of hemp extract, so would prefer CBD isolate (or another way of taking CBD like gummies). The flavour may be a reason to mix it in with food or in a cocktail so you don't have to taste the CBD. Isolate CBD is definitely a better choice for this, as well as personal use for things like massage oil.
Isolate CBD can be more expensive than Full-Spectrum since the process of creating it is more thorough and requires more plant matter to get pure CBD.
Overall, it's your choice on what type of CBD you choose. Take a look at our extensive collection of CBD
]]>CBD is short for Cannabidiol, one of the many compounds found in the cannabis plant. It is used in products like oils, e-liquids, balms, and edibles.
Unlike its sister compound, THC, CBD does not get you high, as it doesn't contain any psychoactive components. However, Dr Junella Chin, medical cannabis expert for cannabisMD, has found that around 5 per cent of people said they felt different after taking CBD, though these are usually the same people who get these effects from products like ibuprofen or paracetamol. You won't know how your body will react to CBD, so be sure to take it safely when you first start using CBD.
There are many terms used for CBD—Cannabis, hemp, marijuana, weed, dope grass, Mary Jane and wacky backy. The cannabis plant has 2 species, marijuana and hemp. These both contain CBD, but hemp contains a higher amount and a smaller amount of THC. When people discuss hemp oil, they refer to the oil extracted directly from the seeds of the hemp plant. This does not contain CBD or THC and is packed with healthy fats for use in beauty products, nutritional supplements, and for animal feed. Hemp seeds are a superfood.
The FDA so far have only found that CBD can treat epilepsy, in a press statement made in 2018. This was found after the story of Charlotte Figi, a girl with a severe case of Dravet's syndrome who was having up to 300 seizures a week. When she was given CBD as a last resort, this number dropped dramatically, now only having 2 or 3 a month. For more information about Charlotte, read our blog post about this amazing true story.
CBD may be able to help you relax and destress. Dr Chin found that it calms your nervous system and reminds it that it's safe. It relaxes the body and helps it to mellow out.
Dr Houman Danesh, director of integrative pain management for the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, found that CBD does help to relieve pain, but works best with THC. THC is the prohibited compound, so can only be sold in very small percentages, making this harder to get. He believes you must research CBD further to see which dosage is best.
There are a variety of ways to take CBD, depending on what you want and why you are taking it in the first place. If you don't want to ingest it, you can use cream to rub on your skin.
The way you choose also depends on how fast you want it to work. Vaping it won't take long, while edibles and tinctures take longer, though tinctures do also last longer.
If you prefer to eat something, try an edible, like gummies or chocolate. You can also try adding drops of CBD Oil to your food.
The Legality of CBD depends on where you are located. Many countries allow you to use CBD as long as THC is kept in very small quantities since it has psychoactive effects.
You can go on a plane with CBD, but be wary that things like Tinctures and other CBD Liquids are only allowed in small quantities. Also, be aware that vaping on a plane is illegal.
There are CBD oils that you can give to your pets to help them. Since they also suffer from things like anxiety and pain, CBD can really help them. Find out more here! CBD Oil For Dogs.
Now you should know everything you need to know about CBD!
]]>I mean you do but not medication-needed insomnia. This sleep condition is a rather complicated one. Insomnia can severely affect your daily life because you end up not getting enough sleep, which affects your brain and body’s functions. In the case you did have it, it is important to recognize what are insomnia symptoms.
Insomnia is difficulty falling and staying asleep. It is a sleep disorder that’ll sap your energy and mood. It can also have several repercussions in your health and everyday performance. Even if you have the chance to do so (meaning all factors are helping you too) you’re completely unable to. People with insomnia often feel dissatisfied with the quality and quantity of their sleep and present a series of symptoms that are not only those of people with trouble sleeping occasionally. It is rather relative because the amount of sleep a person needs variates, though, we can hold 7-9 hours to be the most common standard. At some point in their lives, most adults will experience short-term acute insomnia.
Like everything in life, it depends. Insomnia is characterized and divided depending on its duration. First, there is acute insomnia, this type is characterized because it often happens during difficult life circumstances, like an important exam, too much work stress, bad news, or surgery. It usually resolves without treatment and right after the event or a couple of days later.
Secondly, there’s chronic insomnia. In order to be diagnosed with chronic insomnia, you need to have disrupted sleep at least three times a week for at least three months. The causes can go from (and are not limited to) changes in the environment to overall unhealthy sleep habits, shift work, other clinical disorders, and certain medications. This is the kind of situations that can cause a long-term pattern of not having enough sleep.
Contrary to people with acute insomnia, those who suffer from chronic insomnia probably need clinical help in order to go back to having a healthy sleep pattern. Chronic insomnia can be, and usually is, linked to other medical or psychiatric issue, although the cause and effect relationships haven’t been completely understood yet.
The symptoms presented by those who have insomnia are different depending on which kind the individual suffers from. The most common ones are:
This might be present in either type of insomnia. However, you have to differentiate when these symptoms are normal and when you absolutely have to go see a doctor. The main issue you might have that will make it necessary to go to the doctor is if you have trouble functioning during the day because of it. A doctor can identify the cause of your sleep problem and whether it is insomnia or some other sleep disorder. From there you can see how to treat it. If the sleep disorder is in a rather advanced stage, you’ll probably be referred to a sleep centre for special testing.
Chronic insomnia should be treated by a professional physician, however, if you constantly suffer from acute insomnia, there are some little habits you can change in your daily life that will help you beat it
While CBD is effective in treating symptoms of insomnia, it doesn't work exactly how you'd think. Instead of giving a tranquillizing effect, CBD fights insomnia at its roots. According to Gretchen Lidicker, author of CBD Oil: Everyday Secrets: A Lifestyle Guide To Hemp-Derived Health and Wellness,
“These studies mainly point to CBD’s ability to interact with ... serotonin receptors and GABA receptors in the brain,” she explained. “Serotonin plays an important role in mood and anxiety, and GABA is known as the main ‘inhibitory’ neurotransmitter, meaning it calms excess activity in the brain and promotes relaxation. GABA receptors are the target of benzodiazepines, which are a class of anti-anxiety drugs.”
The main cause of insomnia isn't a genetic disorder or a contagious disease. It's stress. The majority of us will suffer from stress at some point in our lives, whether it is due to work-related issues, relationship problems or just being scared at the current state of the world.
Stress can lead to mood swings and lack of sleep, while prolonged stress can lead to serious illnesses, like cancer. CBD may be the answer to this.
A study carried out in 2019, with 103 patients suffering from anxiety and poor sleep. Within one month of CBD usage, there was a 79% success rate in decreased anxiety and 66% success of improved sleep within the first month.
CBD has the potential to treat insomnia safely and naturally, without prescription medications.
Once CBD is taken, it enters the body and interacts with a network of receptors known as the endocannabinoid system, located throughout the body. The majority of receptors on this system is located in the brain and the Central Nervous System.
Studies have found that when CBD interacts with these, cognitive functions improve and the brain can more effectively respond to stressful situations, meaning negative reactions are mitigated. This helps reduce stress levels, making it easier to sleep.
Insomnia is just another ailment on the long list of what CBD may be able to aid. It doesn't make you sleepy, but it stops you from feeling stressed, meaning you can relax more easier. Have a Nice Day!

CBD oil has previously been shown to treat seizures. This also works for dogs who suffer from epilepsy and seizures, and many owners are trying it. Research show’s that CBD reduces the frequency of seizures over time, and, in some cases, get rid of the seizures altogether for some patients.
Even dogs get arthritis, which is an inflammation of the joints causing aching, pains and other illnesses. CBD has the potential to relieve pain targeting the joints and giving the dog relief. It calms the chronic inflammation that prevents the dog from properly healing.
It isn't easy to know why your dog has lost its appetite, but most of the time, it is due to nausea. CBD may help reduce the digestion issue and provide pain relief.
Anxiety is no fun, and, it’s the same with dogs. Many dogs suffer from anxiety and can be depressed and extremely anxious in certain situations, like when the owner leaves. This can result in destructive behaviours. CBD is a relaxing stimulant that might help to calm pets.
Dogs can get cancer too, which can be spotted by symptoms of nausea, loss of appetite and chronic pain. CBD may help to comfort the pet during this time and helps to reduce side effects. Pet owners giving their dogs small daily doses of CBD may help prevent and kill cancer.
Most diseases in dogs have the same types of symptoms, chronic pain, nausea, loss of appetite, and changes in behaviour. CBD has the potential to help humans and dogs by reducing anxiety, lowering stress, and aiding sleep, which together can reduce pain.
There is currently no scientific data on the side effects of giving CBD to dogs. But there are potential effects based on how it affects humans.
Research has found that CBD can reduce saliva production. For dogs, this would result in increased thirst.
High doses of CBD have also been known to cause a temporary drop in blood pressure. Though the drop is small, it can create a feeling of lightheadedness.
The calming effect of CBD used to treat anxiety, can also cause slight drowsiness, especially when higher doses are used.
There are many ways to give dogs CBD, but the best is tinctures so that you can give it to the dog a drop at a time.
Below is a guide of the three different dosage strengths you can use to help you dose your human CBD oil for your dog.

]]>THC binds to the cannabinoid receptors found throughout the body. This causes a variety of psychoactive effects. The chemical structure of THC mimics the chemicals that are already created within the body. An effect similar to this can be experienced when running. Athletes get what is called a "runner's high". THC is currently used to solve a variety of problems.
The effects of THC varies from person to person depending on a person's body chemistry and other factors such as if you’ve used it before, the dosage, and how you take it. There are positive effects of THC, including relaxation, pain relief and energy.
There are, however, negative effects including;
People who suffer from mental conditions can have increased symptoms if they use THC. People at risk include people with schizophrenia or psychosis. It is best to know how THC will affect you before using it in your treatment. If you’re under the care of a physician for any of these conditions, you should speak with your medical providers before trying any products containing THC.
THC may provide many benefits for people with health concerns. There are many conditions that THC might help treat, including PTSD, cancer, ADHD, Nausea, Crohn's disease and inflammation. As research continues, it is likely that more and more benefits will be found.
You may be able to reduce many symptoms with THC, but it is important to stay wary of the effects of it, as the effects vary from person to person. Research has found more benefits of THC and will continue finding more in the future.

Researchers have found CBD interacts with the receptors in your brain and immune system. Receptors are tiny proteins which are attached to your cells that receive chemical signals from different stimuli, helping your cells respond. This creates anti-inflammatory and painkilling effects which help with pain management, meaning that CBD oil may benefit people with chronic pain, such as chronic back pain.
A 2008 review looked into how good CBD works to relieve chronic pain. The report investigated studies conducted between the late 1980s and 2007 and concluded CBD was effective in overall pain management without adverse side effects. They also found CBD was beneficial in treating any insomnia relating to chronic pain, as well as helping people with multiple sclerosis.
A study from 2016 looked into the usage of CBD in rats with arthritis. Researchers applied the CBD gel to rats for four days in a row, using 0.6, 3.1, 6.2, and 62.3 milligrams per day. The researchers found a reduction in inflammation and overall pain in the rats’ affected joints without side effects.
The anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects of CBD could help people with arthritis. However, more human studies are needed.
CBD oil may also help with cancer. A few studies in mice have found a reduction in cancerous tumours, but most human studies have involved researching the role of CBD oil in managing pain related to cancer and cancer treatment. The National Cancer Institute has said CBD is a possible option for relieving symptoms caused by chemotherapy.
One study tested CBD oil extracts sprayed into the mouth. The CBD oil was used with opioids. This study found CBD oil helps with better pain management, but more research is still needed.
Overall, researchers agree that while there isn’t enough data to conclude that CBD oil is the preferred method of pain management, these products have much potential. CBD products may be able to offer relief for many people who have chronic pain without causing intoxication and dependence.
]]>A cancer survivor from British Columbia has an astounding story. In May 2007, they had a heart attack and later had double bypass surgery. Because of the surgery, she got chronic pain from a broken sternum, as well as post-sternotomy neuralgia syndrome. The patient consistently took pain killers to try to ease the pain, but they didn't work.
Four years later, the patient was diagnosed with anal canal cancer and had two spots of skin cancer on her collarbone. After two surgeries, the doctors told her that they were not able to get rid of all the cancer and she would have to go through radiation. She researched the procedure and discovered that it was possible for the skin to be permanently damaged, with her getting second and third-degree burns. It was also possible that the affected areas would fuse shut from the burns and subsequent scarring.
Concerned about radiation treatments, she asked for time to think about it. Her doctor informed her that she had only around 2-4 months to live, at most 6 months, and suggested she should consider the radiation treatment. Instead, she decided to start looking into the use of cannabis oil for cancer treatment.
When the THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) connects to the CB1 or the CB2 cannabinoid receptor site on the cancer cell, it creates an increase in ceramide synthesis that leads to the cancer cell's death. A normal cell does not produce ceramide when near THC; so it is not affected by the cannabinoid.
Cancer cells don't die because of the cytotoxic chemicals, but because of a small shift in the mitochondria. The reason for the mitochondria in a cell is to produce energy for the cell to use. As ceramide is produced, it turns up the sphingolipid rheostat, which increases the mitochondrial membrane permeability to cytochrome c, which is a vital protein in energy synthesis. The cytochrome c is then pushed out of the mitochondria, which kills the source of energy for that particular cell.
The existence of ceramide means there is no possibility of cancer cells surviving because it causes genotoxic stress in the cancer cell, which generates a protein called p53. This disrupts the calcium metabolism in the mitochondria. Ceramide also disrupts the cell’s digestive system which produces nutrients for all cell functions and stops pro-survival pathways.
The key to this process is the collection of ceramide in the system. This means that by taking any amount of CBD and THC, at a steady rate over a period of time, the patient will keep metabolic pressure on these cancer cell death pathways.
The Cancer Patient story is a wonderful success story of using cannabis oil to help kill cancer cells. When using any CBD product there is no ‘guaranteed cure’, but our CBD oils, gummies, and vape juices can give you alternative options. Happy Vaping!
